Emma Handy
Emma Handy is a British actress born on 24 March 1974. She is best known for her work on the West End stage and her portrayal of DC Paula McIntyre in the ITV1 drama series Wire in the Blood, appearing in five series. Emma received her training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Notably, she played the leading role in the first English translation of Csongor és Tünde by Peter Zollman at the Merlin International Theatre in Budapest. Emma's stage career includes performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she played Jessica in Merchant of Venice and originated the role of Rhona in Robert Holman's Bad Weather. She has also been involved in numerous new writing projects, creating roles like Anna Van Gogh in Nicholas Wright's multi award-winning production.
