Emma Mackey

Emma Mackey, born Emma Margaret Marie Tachard-Mackey around 1996, is a British and French actress known for her breakthrough role as Maeve Wiley in the Netflix series Sex Education (2019–2023). She received critical acclaim for her performance and earned a British Academy Television Award nomination. Mackey has also appeared in films such as Death on the Nile (2022) and portrayed Emily Brontë in Emily (2022). In 2023, she won the BAFTA Rising Star Award. Born in Le Mans, France, to a French father and English mother, Mackey grew up in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. She completed her education at the University of Leeds, graduating in 2016.
