Emmanuel Castis

Emmanuel Castis (born 1 February 1976) is a South African actor, singer, and dancer of Greek descent. He is best known for his roles as Steve Stethakis in the popular serials Isidingo and Cole Harris on the soapie Scandal!. Castis was born in Johannesburg, South Africa to Greek parents Mike and Maro Castis. He graduated with a degree in dramatic arts from the University of Witwatersrand. Castis began his acting career in 1997, performing in theatre plays with the Forgotten Angle Dance Theatre Company. He made his television debut in 1999 with the soapie Isidingo, where he gained popularity for his portrayal of Steve Stethakis. Castis is married to his longtime partner Sharlene Economou.
