Emo Philips

Emo Philips (born Philip Soltanec on February 7, 1956) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, writer, and producer. Known for his unique look and on-stage antics, Philips' comedy persona utilizes paraprosdokians delivered in a wandering falsetto tone. With a confused, childlike delivery, he creates comic timing reminiscent of the 'wisdom of children' or the idiot savant. Philips is recognized for his fidgety and possibly mentally disturbed character, often shifting from sitting to standing positions, wandering across the stage, and playing with his hair or clothing.
