Eric Close

Eric Randolph Close (born May 24, 1967) is an American actor known for his roles in popular television series. He gained recognition for his portrayal of FBI agent Martin Fitzgerald in the CBS mystery drama Without a Trace (2002–2009) and as Teddy Conrad in the ABC musical drama Nashville (2012–2017). Close was born in Staten Island, New York, and grew up in various locations before settling in San Diego. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in communications. Close began his acting career after college, starting with stage productions and later transitioning to film and television. He has appeared in notable projects such as American Me (1992) and the TV movie Safe House.
