Eric Idle

Eric Idle is an English actor, comedian, musician, and writer, known for his contributions to the British surreal comedy group Monty Python. He studied at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and joined Cambridge University Footlights. Idle achieved fame as a co-creator and actor in the sketch series Monty Python's Flying Circus and the films Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. He is recognized for his elaborate wordplay and musical numbers, performing memorable songs like 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' and 'Galaxy Song'. Idle also created the sketch show Rutland Weekend Television and hosted Saturday Night Live multiple times. He has appeared in films such as The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and Nuns on the Run.
