Eric Jacobson

Eric Jacobson is an American puppeteer and actor. He is best known for his involvement with the Muppets, performing iconic characters such as Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam Eagle. Jacobson inherited these roles from original performers Frank Oz, Caroll Spinney, and Jim Henson. Since 1994, he has been a regular performer on Sesame Street, receiving Emmy Award nominations for his work. Jacobson has also appeared in several Muppets feature films and television series, including The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, The Muppets, and Muppets Most Wanted. Born in Fort Worth, Jacobson was inspired to pursue puppeteering after the passing of Jim Henson.
