Eric Matheny

Eric Matheny is an actor, screenwriter, and co-founder of The Acting Center LA. Born and raised in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Matheny began his career as a child actor, starring in national television commercials. As a teenager, he gained recognition for his roles in the Southern Emmy Award-winning ABC Movie of the Week, 'Run Down The Rabbit,' alongside Roger Mosely, and the ABC Movie of The Week 'A Perfect Tribute,' opposite Jeanne Tripplehorn. Matheny's notable film credits include playing J. Edgar Hoover's physician, Dr. Ferguson, in Clint Eastwood's 'J. Edgar,' starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. He has also appeared in TV shows such as 'Time of Your Life,' 'CSI,' 'Without a Trace,' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' Matheny starred as the lead in the Fox pilot 'That Guy,' directed by Betty Thomas.
