Eric Potts Biography
Eric Potts (born September 13, 1965) is a Scottish actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his role as the eccentric baker Diggory Compton in Coronation Street, as well as his portrayal of Mr Moore, a Wrexham Football Club supporter, in Brookside. Potts began his acting career after training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and touring with the Theatre of Poland. He has appeared in various television shows including Peak Practice, The Smiths, Heartbeat, The Royal, Last of the Summer Wine, and Steel River Blues. Potts has also acted in films such as The Jealous God and had a guest appearance on Doctor Who. Additionally, he has been active in theatre, including playing the role of Big Ears in the UK Tour of Noddy Live. Potts has also appeared in pantomimes, such as Dick Whittington.
