Erik Griffin (born March 12, 1972) is an American stand-up comedian, writer, podcaster, and actor. He is best known for his role as Montez Walker on Comedy Central's Workaholics. Griffin has appeared in various movies and TV shows, including Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, I'm Dying Up Here, Murder Mystery, and Blunt Talk. Born in Los Angeles, California, on March 12, 1972, Griffin was raised by his mother, who immigrated from Belize. He began his stand-up career in 2003 after working as a school basketball coach and handling office work. Griffin has released a half-hour special for Comedy Central and albums like Technical Foul: Volume One. He has also starred in his own specials, including Erik Griffin: The Ugly Truth and Amerikan Warrior, both premiering on Showtime.
