    Erin Cottrell is an American actress, born on August 24, 1975, in Yardley, Pennsylvania. She is best known for her role as Missie LaHaye in five of the eight films in the Love Comes Softly series. These include Love's Long Journey, Love's Abiding Joy, Love's Unending Legacy, Love's Unfolding Dream, and Love Takes Wing. In these movies, Erin portrays the adult Missie Davis-LaHaye-Tyler, with the exception of the second film. She also had a significant role in an episode of Cold Case, where she played an art teacher in an internment camp during World War II. Erin Cottrell continues to contribute to the entertainment industry through her acting career.
