Ernie Sabella Biography
Ernie Sabella (born September 19, 1949) is an American actor and comedian. He gained recognition for his role as Pumbaa in The Lion King franchise, voicing the character in various media. Sabella has appeared in several TV shows, including Perfect Strangers (1986-1987) as Mr. Donald 'Twinkie' Twinkacetti, A Fine Romance as George Shipman, and Saved by the Bell (1991) as Leon Carosi. In Broadway theatre, he has starred in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Curtains, and Man of La Mancha. Sabella graduated from the University of Miami, where he studied Theatre Arts and performed at the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre. His film credits include Quiz Show (1994) and Mousehunt (1997).
