Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Snowden, alongside an ensemble cast including Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, and Nicolas Cage. Principal photography began in Munich in February 2015, and the film was screened at San Diego Comic-Con before premiering at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.
