Esai Morales Jr. (born October 1, 1962) is an American actor known for his notable roles in films such as Bad Boys and La Bamba. On television, he has appeared in the PBS drama series American Family, the Showtime series Resurrection Blvd., and portrayed Lt. Tony Rodriguez on NYPD Blue. Morales also played Joseph Adama in the science fiction series Caprica and Camino del Rio in the Netflix original series Ozark. He is recognized for his portrayal of the DC Comics supervillain Slade Wilson / Deathstroke in the superhero series Titans. Morales is set to appear as Gabriel, the antagonist, in the upcoming Mission: Impossible films alongside Tom Cruise. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Morales is of Puerto Rican descent.
