Ester Dean

Ester Dean, born Esther Renay Dean on April 15, 1982, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and actor. Known as 'The Song Factory', Dean has written songs for numerous artists, including Rihanna and Katy Perry, earning her several Top 10 hits and No. 1 hits. She was nominated for Album of the Year at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards for her work as a producer on Rihanna's album 'Loud'. Dean made her acting debut in the film 'Pitch Perfect' (2012) and reprised her role in the sequels 'Pitch Perfect 2' (2015) and 'Pitch Perfect 3' (2017). She also voiced characters in the Ice Age film 'Continental Drift' and contributed a song titled 'We Are (Family)' for the movie.
