Evan Davis

Evan Harold Davis (born 8 April 1962) is an English journalist, presenter, and former economist. He is best known for his role as a presenter on the BBC's Dragons' Den since 2005 and as the presenter of PM on BBC Radio 4 since 2018. Davis started his career as the BBC's economics editor in 2001 and later became a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Today programme. From 2014 to 2018, he served as the main presenter of Newsnight. Born in Malvern, Worcestershire, Davis grew up in Ashtead, Surrey. He attended Dorking County Grammar School. Davis's parents emigrated from South Africa to escape apartheid.
