Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress and author, born on August 3, 1979, in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. She gained recognition for her role as Kate Austen in the ABC drama series Lost (2004–2010), earning a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Lilly has appeared in various films including The Hurt Locker (2008), Real Steel (2011), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man (2015), where she played the character Hope van Dyne.
