Evangeline Lilly

Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress and author, born on August 3, 1979, in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. She gained recognition for her role as Kate Austen in the ABC drama series Lost (2004–2010), earning a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Lilly has appeared in various films including The Hurt Locker (2008), Real Steel (2011), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man (2015), where she played the character Hope van Dyne. She also starred as Tauriel in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film series. In addition to her acting career, Lilly is the author of the children's book series The Squickerwonkers. She was raised in British Columbia and comes from a Baptist and Mennonite background.
