Eve Pearce (17 April 1929 – 13 January 2023) was a Scottish actress known for her versatile performances on stage and screen. Born in Aberdeen, she grew up in a one-roomed tenement and moved to London at the age of twelve. Pearce began her acting career in 1950, gaining recognition for her roles in the Royal Shakespeare Company productions. She made numerous television appearances in the sixties, including a memorable role in Coronation Street. Pearce's film credits include playing Mrs Dunstable in the 1971 film adaptation of Please Sir!. With a career spanning seven decades, Pearce became renowned for her performances in the West End and RSC, notably as Amelia in Wild Oats and Rosamonde in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. She will be remembered as a talented and dedicated actress.
