Evin Ahmad Biography
Evin Ahmad (born June 8, 1990) is a Kurdish-Swedish actress and author. She gained recognition for her roles in the Danish series The Rain and the Swedish drama Quicksand. Ahmad was born in Stockholm, Sweden to Kurdish parents. Her father is an actor from Kurdistan, Iraq, and her mother is from Afrin, Syria. She studied at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Ahmad made her screen debut in 2007 and has since been nominated twice for Guldbagge Awards. In 2021, she gained wider recognition for her lead role as Leya in the Netflix series Snabba Cash. Ahmad's first English-language role came in 2022 with the Netflix production Who Is Erin Carter?, which aired in 2023.
