Falk Hentschel is a German actor, dancer, and choreographer known for his involvement in American productions. He has had supporting roles in movies such as White House Down and Transcendence. Hentschel gained recognition for his portrayal of superhero Hawkman in the Arrowverse shows The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Born in Leipzig, East Germany, Hentschel escaped East Germany with his family before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Raised bilingually in English and German, he moved around the world throughout his life. Hentschel worked as a professional backup dancer for artists like Mariah Carey and Britney Spears before transitioning to acting in 2003. He made his acting debut in the Emmy Award-winning show Arrested Development in 2005.
