Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena on August 19, 1970, is an American rapper from New York City. He started his music career in 1992 as a member of the hip hop group Diggin' in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.) before venturing into a successful solo career in 1993. Fat Joe later formed the hip hop group Terror Squad, through which he signed notable artists like Big Pun, Remy Ma, and DJ Khaled. His debut album Represent (1993) produced the hit single 'Flow Joe,' which topped the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. Fat Joe's other notable albums include Jealous One's Envy (1995), Don Cartagena (1998), and Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.) (2001), which featured the popular song 'What's Luv?' with Ja Rule and Ashanti.
