Felicity Kendal

Felicity Ann Kendal (born September 25, 1946) is an English actress known for her work in television and theatre. With a career spanning over 70 years, she has played various roles on stage and screen. Kendal gained popularity for her portrayal of Barbara Good in the 1975 TV series The Good Life. Born in Olton, England, she is the daughter of Laura Liddell and Geoffrey Kendal, an actor and manager. Her older sister, Jennifer Kendal, was also an actress. Kendal spent her early years in Birmingham before moving to India with her family. She attended six different convent schools in India and contracted typhoid fever in Calcutta at a young age.
