Florence Halop (January 23, 1923 – July 15, 1986) was an American actress known for her roles in popular TV shows. She gained recognition as the surly patient Mrs. Hufnagel on the drama series St. Elsewhere and as the raspy-voiced bailiff Florence Kleiner on the sitcom Night Court. Born in Jamaica, New York, Halop came from a theatrical family, with her mother being a dancer. She had two brothers, one of whom was Billy Halop, a well-known actor. Halop started her career in radio and transitioned to television in the early 1950s. Throughout her career, she appeared in numerous TV shows, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
