Franc Luz Biography
Franc Luz (born December 22, 1950) is an American actor known for his work in stage, film, and television. With a career spanning the 1980s and 1990s, he gained recognition for his leading dramatic film roles. Luz made notable appearances in films such as The Nest, Ghost Town, and When Harry Met Sally.... He also made a memorable guest appearance as the symbiont Odan in a 1991 episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Luz, who hails from Massachusetts and is of Portuguese and Irish descent, attended New Mexico State University where he studied singing and theater arts. He began his career in local and regional theater productions before achieving his breakthrough in the late 1970s with the role of policeman Floyd in Fiorello at the Equity Liberty Theater in New York.
