Frances Bay Biography
Frances Evelyn Bay (née Goffman; January 23, 1919 – September 15, 2011) was a Canadian-American character actress and comedian. Born in Mannville, Alberta, she was raised in Dauphin, Manitoba, to Ukrainian Jewish immigrant parents. Bay began her acting career in Winnipeg before hosting the Canadian Broadcasting Company's radio show, Everybody's Program, during World War II. She acted in various roles in film and television for over 35 years. Bay married Charles Irwin Bay in 1946 and moved to Cape Town, South Africa. In 2008, she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Bay's notable credits include appearances in person movies and TV shows.
