Francis Damberger is a Canadian film and television director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He gained recognition for his 1991 film Solitaire, which earned him a Genie Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the 13th Genie Awards. Damberger studied acting at the University of Alberta and won second prize in a local playwriting competition in 1983 for his play Rat Tails. He has directed several feature films including Road to Saddle River (1994) and Heart of the Sun (1998), as well as episodes of popular TV series such as North of 60, Due South, and Heartland. In addition to his directing career, Damberger has also appeared in supporting or guest roles as an actor.
