Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist and professional boxer. He was born on September 5, 1986, in the village of Batié, Cameroon. Raised in poverty, Ngannou had little formal education and started working in a sand quarry at a young age. Instead of joining local gangs, he chose to pursue boxing, using his father's negative reputation as motivation. At the age of 22, Ngannou began training in boxing and later transitioned to mixed martial arts. He competed in the Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and became the reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion before signing with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
