Frank Bello

Frank Bello (born July 9, 1965) is an American musician known for his role as the bassist of the thrash metal band Anthrax. He joined the band in 1984, replacing Dan Lilker, and has remained a member ever since, except for a brief departure in 2004. Bello has also toured with the band Helmet as a touring member from 2004 to 2005. Born in the Bronx, New York City, Bello is the nephew of Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. He tragically lost his younger brother, Anthony, in 1996, and has a tattoo on his right upper arm in his memory. Bello's mother, Rosie, passed away on April 21, 2023.
