Frank Bourke Biography
Frank Bourke (3 February 1922 – 27 December 2011) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League during the 1940s. He played one game in 1943 while on leave from the RAAF. After the war, Bourke played 9 games in 1946 before a knee injury. He returned in 1947, playing 6 games before retiring. Bourke later coached Ganmain Football Club in the South West Football League (New South Wales) and led them to the 1950 premiership. He is best known as the father of Richmond Immortal Francis Bourke and grandfather of David Bourke.
