Frank J. Delfino (February 13, 1911 – February 19, 1997) was an American actor best known for his portrayal of The Hamburglar in the McDonald's advertising campaign television commercials over a 20-year period. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Delfino had dwarfism and his small stature often led to roles that showcased his unique physicality. Before entering the acting world, he had a successful career as a professional violinist and performed at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair in 'Midget Village.' Delfino began his acting career in commercials for Philip Morris, Curtis Candy, Little Caesars, Sprite, and Snickers before landing his iconic role as The Hamburglar in McDonald's commercials starting in 1971. He also had his own local cartoon show, 'Jupiter Mars from Out of the Stars,' and made his feature film debut in 1956.
