Frank Infante
Frank Infante (born November 15, 1951) is an American guitarist and bassist best known as a former member of the new wave band Blondie. He joined Blondie in 1977 as a session player, replacing bassist Gary Valentine. Infante played bass and guitar on Blondie's second album Plastic Letters in 1978. Later that year, he switched to guitar full-time when bassist Nigel Harrison joined the band. Infante's technical proficiency on the guitar was recognized by record producer Mike Chapman. Blondie's albums Parallel Lines (1978) and Eat To The Beat (1979) marked their commercial breakthroughs. Infante contributed to Blondie's success during his tenure with the band.
