Frank J. Scannell Biography
Frank J. Scannell (May 7, 1903 – November 29, 1989) was an American film and television actor. With a career spanning over four decades, Scannell appeared in more than 100 films and television programs. He gained recognition for his six appearances in the American western television series The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Scannell began his acting career in 1943 with the film Whistling in Brooklyn, starring Red Skelton. Throughout his career, he made notable appearances in several television shows, including Tombstone Territory, 77 Sunset Strip, The Beverly Hillbillies, and The Jack Benny Program. Scannell's filmography also includes Johnny Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Within These Walls, Lover Come Back, and She's Working Her Way Through College.
