Franklin Wendell Welker (born March 12, 1946) is an American voice actor known for his prolific career spanning over 860 film, television, and video game credits as of 2023. With a worldwide box-office gross of $17.4 billion, Welker is recognized as the third-highest-grossing actor of all time as of 2011. He gained fame for his role as Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise since its inception in 1969 and has continued to voice the title character since 2002. Welker has also lent his voice to notable characters such as Baby Kermit in Muppet Babies, Megatron and various characters in the Transformers franchise, and Santa's Little Helper on The Simpsons, among many others.
