Franklin Martin Biography
Franklin Martin was an American documentary film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He is best known for his sport documentaries, including 'Walking on Dead Fish' (2008) and 'Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story' (2012). Martin founded and ran Dutchmen Films, a production company based in Los Angeles. Prior to his film career, Martin studied at Hofstra University where he played basketball as a four-year letterman. He continued his education at Tennessee State University, where he also coached, and graduated with a master's degree. Martin began his career as an actor, taking roles in various films and TV series under the name Frank Martin. He passed away on December 1, 2018, in New York due to glioblastoma.
