Franklyn Seales Biography
Franklyn Seales (July 15, 1952 – May 14, 1990) was an American actor known for his work in film, television, and stage. He gained recognition for his role as business manager Dexter Stuffins in the 1980s sitcom Silver Spoons and for portraying real-life convicted cop killer Jimmy Lee (Youngblood) Smith in the 1979 film The Onion Field. Seales was born on July 15, 1952, in Calliaqua, and later moved to New York City with his family. He initially planned to study art at Pratt Institute but got involved in acting after accompanying a friend to an audition at Juilliard School. Seales had a diverse background, with English, Scottish, African, Portuguese, and Native Caribbean descent.
