Fred Berry

Fred Allen Berry (March 19, 1951 – October 21, 2003) was an American actor and street dancer. He gained recognition for his role as Freddie 'Rerun' Stubbs on the 1970s television show What's Happening!!. Berry was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in an inner-city housing estate. As a child, he aspired to become a successful dancer and actor. Berry was a member of the Los Angeles-based dance troupe The Lockers and appeared on Saturday Night Live and Soul Train. His breakout role came in the ABC sitcom What's Happening!!, where he played the character Freddie 'Rerun' Stubbs. Berry's portrayal of Rerun garnered him widespread fame.
