Fred Hechinger is an American actor born in 1999. He gained recognition for his roles in various films and TV shows. Notably, he portrayed Trevor in the coming-of-age film Eighth Grade, John Calley in News of the World, and Ethan Russell in The Woman in the Window. He also appeared in the horror trilogy The Fear Street and the HBO series The White Lotus. Hechinger was born in New York City to Sarah Rozen and Paul Hechinger. His grandfather, Fred M. Hechinger, was The New York Times education editor. Hechinger attended Saint Ann's School and studied at Upright Citizens Brigade. He is Jewish.
