Freddie Gibbs, born Fredrick Jamel Tipton on June 14, 1982, is an American rapper. He initially signed with Interscope Records in 2006 and recorded his first album under the label, which was later cancelled. Gibbs went on to sign with Young Jeezy's CTE World and released several mixtapes, including the critically acclaimed 'Baby Face Killa' in 2012. After leaving CTE in 2013, he formed his own label ESGN and released his album 'ESGN.' Gibbs has since released multiple solo albums and collaborated with artists such as Madlib and the Alchemist. Hailing from Gary, Indiana, he grew up at 17th and Virgi.
