Fritz Feld
Fritz Feld (October 15, 1900 – November 18, 1993) was a German-American film character actor known for his appearances in over 140 films spanning 72 years. He began his acting career in Germany in 1917 and made his screen debut in 'Der Golem und die Tänzerin.' In 1929, Feld filmed the sound sequences of 'The Godless Girl' without Cecil B. DeMille's supervision, as DeMille had signed with another studio. Feld's signature move was slapping his mouth with the palm of his hand to create a distinctive 'pop' sound. He often portrayed maître d's, as well as aristocrats and eccentrics.
