Gabrielle Carteris

Gabrielle Anne Carteris (born January 2, 1961) is an American actress and trade union leader. She is best known for her role as Andrea Zuckerman in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210. In addition to her acting career, Carteris has been actively involved in the entertainment industry as a trade union leader. In 2012, she was elected executive vice president of SAG-AFTRA, a prominent trade union representing actors and professionals in the United States. Following the death of the previous president, Carteris assumed the position of acting president in 2016 and was subsequently elected as SAG-AFTRA president in 2016, 2017, and 2019. Carteris was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has a twin brother. Her diverse heritage includes Greek and Jewish ancestry.
