Galen Gering

Galen Laius Gering (born February 13, 1971) is an American actor known for his work on daytime soap operas. He currently portrays Rafe Hernandez on the long-running NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. Gering gained recognition through his role as Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC daytime soap opera Passions. Born in Los Angeles, California, Gering is of Russian Jewish descent from his father's side and French and Spanish/Basque descent from his mother's side. Prior to his acting career, Gering pursued modeling and attended New York University before completing his studies in creative writing and film at the University of Miami.
