Gareth Malone

Gareth Malone is an English choirmaster and broadcaster, born on November 9, 1975. He is known for his television appearances in programs such as The Choir, where he introduces choral music to new participants. Malone's passion for choral singing has led him to become an animateur, presenter, and popularizer of the art form. He received the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2012 for his contributions to music. Malone was born into a family of Irish descent and grew up as the only child of James and Sian Malone. He studied drama at the University of East Anglia and sang with the Symphony Chorus of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
