Garrett Strommen is an American actor, entrepreneur, author, and visual artist. He was born on October 8, 1982, in St. Louis, Missouri. Strommen began his acting career in Italy, performing in school productions before landing a role in the movie I Dreamed of Africa alongside Daniel Craig and Kim Basinger in 2000. During his time in Rome, he attended St. Stephen's International School and received the Reverend Wilbur C. Woodhams Medal for excellence in the arts. Strommen's father, Kim Strommen, served as Dean of Temple University Rome's study abroad campus, while his mother, Genell Miller, is a visual artist and art professor. In 2006, he graduated cum laude from UCLA's prestigious creative writing program. Currently, Strommen is the founder and president of Strommen Inc., a private language instruction and translation company. He is also an angel investor in Rufus Labs. Notable acting appearances include recurring roles in the TV drama 7th Heaven, a guest appearance as the victim in Cold Case, and an appearance on Without a Trace.
