Gary Clark Jr. is an American blues guitarist and singer from Austin, Texas. Born on February 15, 1984, he is known for his unique fusion of blues, rock, soul, and hip hop. Clark signed with Warner Bros Records in 2011 and released The Bright Lights EP, followed by the albums Blak and Blu (2012) and The Story of Sonny Boy Slim (2015). He has performed live extensively throughout his career, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, B.B. King, and the Rolling Stones. Clark was awarded a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance in 2014 and has won additional Grammys for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance in 2020.
