He gained recognition for portraying Warrick Brown on the hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Shazza Zulu on A Different World, and Mickey Monroe in the crime thriller Righteous Villains. Dourdan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Willingboro Township, New Jersey with his family. He developed a passion for acting, music, and martial arts during his youth. Prior to his acting career, Dourdan worked as a doorman at a rehearsal studio in New York City while playing in various bands.
