Gary Lineker

Gary Winston Lineker (born 30 November 1960) is an English sports broadcaster and former professional footballer. He was the top goalscorer in England with three clubs: Leicester City, Everton, and Tottenham Hotspur, and played for Barcelona in Spain. Lineker earned 80 caps for England and finished his career as England's second top international goalscorer. Since 1999, he has presented the BBC's flagship football show, Match of the Day. Lineker began his football career at Leicester City and was the First Division's joint top goalscorer in 1984–85. He then moved to Everton where he won several awards before transferring to Barcelona and winning the Copa del Rey and the European Cup Winners' Cup.
