Gary Perez

Gary Perez is an American actor known for his work in television, film, and stage. Born on April 12, 1962, Perez began his journey in the performing arts by studying ballet at the School of Performing Arts. He is of Puerto Rican descent and identifies as a Nuyorican. Perez started his career in off-Broadway theater at INTAR, where he appeared in Luis Santeiro's OUR LADY OF THE TORTILLA, directed by Max Ferra. He later co-founded the Latino Actors Base, which became the renowned LAByrinth Theater Company. Perez's early television roles include Detective Joe Ramirez in As The World Turns and appearances in Cosby, New York Undercover, NYPD Blue, and Third Watch. He also worked with director Spike Lee on one of his early movies.
