Gawn Grainger
Gawn Grainger (born 12 October 1937) is a Scottish actor, playwright, and screenwriter. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Charles Neil Grainger and Elizabeth (née Gall). Grainger received his education at Westminster City School in London and trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. He made his first London appearance in 1950, playing the Boy King in Ivor Novello's King's Rhapsody. Grainger began his professional career at the Dundee Rep in 1961 and later joined Laurence Olivier's National Theatre at the Old Vic company in 1972. Some of his notable television credits include roles in Son of Man, The Shadow of the Tower, Doctor Who, and Midsomer Murders.
