Geena Davis, born Virginia Elizabeth Davis on January 21, 1956, is an American actor and producer. She gained recognition for her roles in films such as Tootsie (1982), The Fly (1986), and Beetlejuice (1988). However, it was her performance in The Accidental Tourist (1988) that earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Davis further solidified her status as a leading lady with memorable roles in Thelma & Louise (1991) and A League of Their Own (1992).
