Gemma Merna

Gemma Merna (born February 6, 1984) is an English actress and model. She gained recognition for her role as Carmel McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks, from 2006 to 2014. Merna won the Best Comedy Performance award at the British Soap Awards in 2007. She also appeared on the game show All Star Family Fortunes in a Hollyoaks v Emmerdale special in 2008. Merna participated in the spin-off show Hollyoaks Later in 2009 and made an appearance on the game show Hole in the Wall. In addition, she appeared in documentaries such as 50 Greatest Wedding Shockers and Hollyoaks Best Bits in 2011. Merna also served as a panelist on Big Brother's Bit on the Side in 2013 and 2014.
